Poker Tables

Hey Guys;

Just wondered what you thought of my new poker table. Just built last weekend.

Thinking about doing this on the side. Maybe be too time consuming though.

Any comments or possible changes I could make on a next one?

Thanks

  • It looks shitty!
Just kidding, it's awesome. I love the legs. Did you make them yourself or buy/find them like that?
What did you use for the rail padding?
  • I used 1"a HD foam purchased right from a foam manufacturer here in town.

    Thanks
  • Very nice table!

Did you purchase plans or just make it up as you go? Is that a nice Suede or poker felt? What are the cost if you don't mind me asking?

  • Looks awesome - I am going to start mine tomorrow. I am also interested in the legs? How or where did you get them?
  • My legs I got from a local no name second hand furniture store. Last set and it was only a $100 CDN
  • yeah man, your table has some sexy legs.

  • WOW!!! Nice work!!!

    Two questions

    What was the total cost?

    How long did it take?

If you live in the K-W area I'm sure that you would have a couple of interested buyers.

  • Luckily, I do live in Waterloo. I've sent you an email.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
  • wow, very nice, I am impressed! I think it would be hard to outdo yourself on the next table
  • So, um? Which one of the legs dispenses your very own cans of Blue? :D

How much are you considering selling them for? They are very nice.
  • Wow! I would sleep on that thing.
  • How much for the table?
  • Where did you get the foam cuz i want a one piece foam for the railing to avoid any obvious marks. But it looks good ohhhh and what did you use for the centre for fabric?
  • Very nice!!!!! Definitely inspiration to build one, too!
  • Here are the costs I've had so far:

    Red Velveteen    35     fabric Land
Cup Holders        50     Bass pro shops
    Vinyl                  25    WalMart
    assorted screws   50    HD
    foam                  30    Canadian Tire
    glue                   15
    Wood                125

    Edit post

$20 for legs from Canadian Tire
$10 foam for the insert.  (9 mil carpet underpad is what I used)
I also spent $70 for a pneumatic nailer ( didn't have one and the electric one I bought for 60 was CRAP)
$16 for nails to go with it.

    I will post pics shortly
    It's all done
  • It looks to me like you are better off buying a prebuilt table for around $350 which are offered in the advertised section from this forum.
You have not accounted for the legs which will run you a minimum of 17+tax for the folding type.

    Good luck.
  • ES......

The tables I've seen run almost 750 for what I built. It's definately NOT portable and will stand up to a lot of abuse.

    Pics to come shortly
  • I got my cup holders for $2.50 each at McPhersons Camping supply(RV place) in Cambridge. I built a similar(but round) table for <$300. You just have to do a little bargain shopping on the materials.
