How high?
You're at the airport and forgot to rent a car.
Regularly get a car for 10 or 11 bucks on priceline. Not always though. I can't remember percentage of success.
Cheapest rental is 39 per day.
One shot to winning bid. How high do you go and why?

Good to hear from you Lou!
Just had a few minutes to bid as I was hoping on a plane, so I couldn't think it through.
Realize now that I have to estimate the %'age that the offer doesn't get accepted, multiply that against the real rental fee. That would be the maximum amount I can overpay what I think would be my "normal offer" that gets accepted. Then do some sort of calculus to zoom in.
Quick calc, 25% chance of 11 bucks getting rejected, so I figure under 21 bucks and I'm ahead.
I actually thought what would I think would be a great deal. Before Priceline it was 18 bucks. So, I bid 15 per day and got the car.
Still feel cheated out of 12 bucks.
Hope to see you guys on Wed!
