  • villain has around 950 behind after calling the flop, and your turn check could look like you're just giving up on the pot after missing flop and turn.

personally, i'd probably give him credit here. you're only beating a bluff and he's pretty much committed his whole stack with his turn bet since he's got only 650 behind.

what hands is he calling preflop and flop and betting turn with? not sure AJs covers that range.
  • good analysis trigs, anyone else have more to add?
  • He is almost always calling an allin, so rule that out. Calling is big time -EV, could even be drawing dead. so folding is our best option.
  • fold because we have nothing? :P
  • I've been watching Baluga whale's game show series, I'm gonna try to post some hands where I take different lines once or so a day.

In this hand we have a little more information at our disposal I think then people would use. Firstly, I haven't really checked up on this player, but he's less likely to be a reg or a winning player because I don't know him. His flat pre in the first hand doesn't tell us too much, although we do expect a lot of broadways and pairs and the occasional trap.

His fold to our lead give us a little info though. Its not likely he folded a pair + a heart, and rarely even any pair for that matter. There's also many low-mid suited connectors that would peel this flop (especially with a heart). So it's looking like villain flatted pre with broadway (no heart), and folded to our lead.

A couple hands latter we have the same scenario, but this time villain calls our lead. The turn brings another mid/low card. I think its reasonable that such a player would raise a lot of paired hands in this fop spot, and I think given the history and our actions that he is likely to float much of his broadway, while not having many made hands or hands that beat us like aq and ak (jam pre etc).

I check the turn, and he bets committed but my read leaves me to believe his range is ultra weak because for each broadway in his range he has 16 combination of that set that we beat. This can be upwards to 100+ hands, that we beat, vs vs the # of hands that he actually legitimately slow-played pre and on the flop with.

So really I chose to check shove here for value, knowing that I also have some fold equity (there is always fold equity), and for the times we are behind we often still have 6 outs to a better hand on the river.

I think this hand is an example of how weak a persons range can be when they are playing a lot or all of there broadways.

    Villain called with JTo

u just worry about commenting on preflop~

what you think of preflop, both hero and villain?
  • both opens are fine....

1st one, c bet and tid is probably std ... not alot of hands hit that flop

second one is alright for hero, horrible for villian

he should never be flatting jto there really
