  • If you play too tight you will constantly suffer from bad beats!

Also by laws of the Gentle art not having a roll means its time to take a break from playing and start studying for awhile.
  • brutal way to go out! :(
  • This game is brutal dude, I feel ya
  • The solution is to stop playing for a while. Fortunately, with $0.00 in the account, that is pretty much mandatory, now. Playing more in order to get to the other side of a downswing is counterproductive, imo. Just leave . . . do something else for a while during time you would otherwise dedeicate to poker. Maybe continue to play live. There is an ugly rumour that a certain League host will be having a Deepstack Tourney next month (September).
  • I still have no idea how the online grinders do it.

Live poker FTW. F*%k online poker.
  • Agreed . . . on-line is simply a way to play a little poker when the mood strikes, and a live game is unavailable. Would never have the interest/discipline to make a "job" out of it.
  • Awww Devon. I had such high hopes for you man. I truly thought you had this bankroll management thing down. Whahappened?? You were on such a nice roll there for awhile.

I think you played TOO MUCH volume, especially after getting beats like that one. That, combined with mismanaged roll, you were left to take an all or nothing shot. When you started to slide, did you pause at all to regroup? Get your thoughts straight? Taking a break is probably the best way to maintain your sanity AND your $$.

That said, you DID make me profit from our last investment opportunity, so I KNOW you can do it again. But give yourself some time before you play again. Calm heads play smarter. I'm one to talk sometimes, especially when Milo cracks my aces as he so often regularly does, but I'm getting better at it.

When you do start up again, here's hoping you have better luck.:)
  • I ended up taking it down. - djgolfcan

    Apparently we were misinformed.

You were not, I blew through that $20 in no time.
  • In before...oh:(

Jack Strauss would have been proud.
  • Well, I found some money in a sock drawer. Decided to give it a go this long weekend.
