cooler

this one is a pretty sick cooler imo. I have the nut 10 so I have to expect him to value J10 through K10 the same way as the boat. Much less "if he has it he has it" than the last hand I posted but a lot of the same post flop logic applies. Feel free to drop a comment if you think it's not as much of a cooler as I make it out to be

On a sidenote I'm not sure I think it's neccesary to block bet river here since I'm still hoping villain will put out a biggish valuebet with a worse hand

  • I'm not strong enough to tell exactly when to use it or not but we might consider blocking this one too. Blocking bet is like thin value here for sure too (they all kinda are i think). Here he might check back some weak Tx hands, and for certain some two pair hands that he'll call a blocking bet.

And because he can't really come over top with worse we can bet/fold and save ourselves from, quads, boats, and straights.

but I guess you'd run an ev calc for each line, I can't tell whats better but thats why I use it sometimes.
  • Fold pre

ha i think thats the tightest thing youve ever said!

    thats def change.
  • opening this with 5 players to act always, antes or no antes, loose fish or no loose fish

yes this is prob better, ive prob been folding ato pre antes here sometimes tho, might have to look at it. im def wider with antes though
  • im def folding

ATo is like the ultimate neutral EV hand thats ever existed

im a massive nit tho, so i fold like a pussy and laugh

Ato is basicly Ace high with a bullshit kicker, always dominated, never ahead

its also one of the toughest hands to play post flop i find, you never know where you stand with ATo
  • I definitely think not opening hands like A10o in spots like this might be a bit of a leak if you're comfortable post flop
  • hand is played pretty perfect, why blocker bet? we want him to be betting the river. All a blocker bet will do is make him raise more with better hands and flat with worse, or better yet fold his bluffs. This is just s sick cooler but played well. I might have check raised turn though but then you lose max. Folding A10o here pre is probably the worst thing Ive ever heard lol
  • hand is played pretty perfect, why blocker bet?
Are you saying Sjlot isn't hot?

I'm still wondering if this is all you got from this thread!
  • hand is played pretty perfect, why blocker bet?
No no...no ones doing that we're just gonna consider it, in case we have notes that villain never bluffs, and will check back a ten a lot, and will call a bet with a lot of really marginal hands or something....but then we'll just ask BTP

    Boom Pancakes!

and will check back a ten a lot

we're not playing double or nothings here. Checking back a ten here is something almost no one does
