One Drop
Just heard a comment Ivey and a businessman have 100% crossbook where 1 pays out the other acting like a 2nd Rio. If Ivey were to win this he would win 18 million + another 18 million from the businessman and then with other (bracelet) bets total around 40 million.

Catching up with Eugene Katchalov on the break to grab a summary of the hand, he said Mikhail Smirnov did indeed fold quad eights to John Morgan. Katchalov told us that Tom Dwan had opened and received a call from Smirnov and Morgan before the Js-8c-7s fell. Dwan checked and Smirnov bet. Morgan called and Dwan folded.
The turn was the 8s and Smirnov bet 200,000. Overhearing a conversation from Smirnov, he said Morgan called within five seconds and looked extremely excited about the hand.
The river completed the board with the Ks and Smirnov bet 700,000. Morgan raised all in for 3.4 million total and Smirnov tank-folded the face up for all to see.
Who is ever folding quads there ?
Comp........
(please don't ban hammer me oh greatest nit of the nitisphere)
8 left this morning. Ivey in for at least 1-2 milly more.....two drops
$111,111 from each entry, 48 entries.
Not me. If he's got 9s10s then so be it. Never folding quads.
Only a hand involving large amounts of Smirnov and Morgan would you fold quads.
I see what you did there Capt.
Its not horrible tho. I mean villain is competent amateur. His range is basically JJ, KK, and 9/10ss - so I would put him on 9/10ss here at least 1/4 of the time.
Still not folding, but the fold isnt the worst fold in the history of poker.
Those are Million dollar PJs sir.....
If this was a standard tourney, wouldn't any A high flushes be possible (as I've been jammed on by what seem to be competent players in spots like this).
It seems most want to polarize the range down to 3 hands, when I think there are a few other hands that can be in his shoving range.
Obviously it would be spewy to shove meagre holdings, but I can't take that out of an unknown's range (they'd only been playing 2 hrs I think), despite the b/i.
The fact that its early in the tournament makes me want to take nut flushes out of the shove range here. I mean - youre not shoving nut flushes on the river for value - theres no value hands that call.
Can't argue any point here.......the difference I'm saying, how often does a random see it this way?
