I arrived in here at about 9pm last night and partied very hard. Stumbled home around 4am and crashed until 9am. My buddy gave me a ride to the casino on his way to work and after shooting some 1-2 PL Hi Omaha for a few hours, the satellite was ready to start. It is a 20+2 entry for 500 chips, with $10 rebuys for 500 (as long as you have 1000 chips or less). I rebought twice to start and after an early double was in good shape. There were between 110-120 entrants. Top 3 won seats into the main event, and 4 through 10 got cash. When i got to the final table i was in 3rd or 4th place. I was a little upset that they did not award 4 seats, because the cash awards from 4th-10th was something like $1500, easily enough for another seat. But turned out it didn't matter because i was in first when we ended it, after 4th place busted. Kev gets in tomorrow and we are playing in a 121 man, $100 bucker freezout tomorrow. Wednesday afternoon we are in a $300 bucker, and then the main event is a 2 day event, Friday and Saturday (242 entrants) I will post later in the week, after the 300.
i hope one of you or kev wins an entry tomorrow so the rest of the week you guys can focus on that joocy pot limit game while getting ready for biggie
good luck out there bro
meet you at the airport to help carry all your winnings

I think that betting against any one particular player making the money in a NL tournament is usually a good bet, but I'd feel bad about rooting AGAINST a forum member/a friend of forum members, so I'll pass on that, I think.
Since Jeff IS a damn good tourney player with and amazing record I would only take an even money bet.
If Jeff wins the whole thing I would not be shocked AT ALL.
If Kev DOESNT finish on the bubble I will die of a heart attack from the shock it will cause!
hahahaha All the best luck and NO BEATS!

Today is the 300+35. Me, Jeff, and our buddy (some of yous know) 'Maniac Mike' McKillop, our host for the next few nights, are all going to play. 121 players start.
Last night I went to check out the poker room for the first time. Bought in to the main event and the three of us all have the Friday session for the big one.
Celebrity player Shampoo was in the card room last night in the big game going, 10-20 limit.
Last night we went hard and hit a bar called "Cowboys", anyone whos been to Calgary should know it. Good times, and I even learnt how to 2-step.
Wish us luck.

Vince was always fun to play with. He certainly has improved his game (over the last 12 years) and I remember the early days. Always a bit of a hot head, he still respected the line (for the most part) - he would go all helmuth-like (is that a word) when a he lost a stupid hand, and actually, he had to be asked to leave a few times.
Otherwise, a nice guy. He tipped well, if I remember (I used to deal too).
