Betting at Dry Pots?
I just read all_aces report for the $10K bi-weekly and decided to start a new thread.
What is everyone's opinion on betting dry pots in a tournament? For example, player A goes all-in, player B calls, and you call.
I see a lot of people doing it and am wondering why? If you are bluffing I see that as very pointless as you could easily double up the all-in person. What if you hit the flop in some way, do you bet? I perfer having a better chance of getting rid of the all-in person.
Personally I don't like to bet if I hit the flop or not. I'll let the other person do the betting. If I have a hand to play with, I will, otherwise I'll fold. Is this correct thinking?

Early in the tournament, I might bet into a dry pot if I thought I was stronger that both the all-in player and the other player or had a better draw than both. Later in the tournament, the only way I would bet into a dry pot is if I was 100% sure I had the all-in player drawing dead.
