T8 @ the Western Cdn Poker Championships
Will be playing a couple of events in the Western Cdn Poker Championships @ Yellowhead Casino this week.
Unfortunately I'll only be able to play 2 events due to personal scheduling conflicts:
Wednesday May 2nd:
$300+$30+$10 NLHE (12k chips, 30 min levels)
Friday May 4th:
$2000+$200+$10 NLHE (20k chips, 40 min levels)
Binked a satty to the 2k event yesterday, so I'm already registered for that. It will likely be a sattelite heavy field, so likely softer than most 2k's.....I'm guessing 80-100 runners for that one.
The $300 will be a very soft large field, probably 180-250 runners that I would be very +ev in despite it being NLHE.
I'm swapping 10% with a local degenerate, and looking to sell 40% more here. Obviously I'll be playing both, regardless of % sold.
BTW, I'm due to BTP something.
Total Buyins: $340 + $2210 = $2550
Markup will be set @ 1.05 for purchases
%....if you buy 3% or >3%, there will be no markup.
1% = $26.75
2% = $53.50
3% = $76.50
5% = $127.50
10% = $255.00

Was out relatively quickly, only in a couple big pots, obviously losing both:
Blinds 100/200 have 12K
Sitting in the SB with As6c, 3 limpers, I complete, BB checks
Flop: 3s4s5s
I check, BB bets 600, folded to button, who minclicks 1200, I smooth, BB calls
Turn: 7c
I check, BB checks, Button bets 2200, I call, BB folds
River: brick
I check, button checks, he shows 8sTs
Next (and last) hand, blinds 100/200, have 7k:
I`m UTG+1 with TcTs, open to 550, aggro to my left (he`s 3-bet my opens twice already, 15k) raises to 1600...folded back to me, I decide to flat.
Flop: 3c5c8c
I check, he bets out 2200, I ship remaining 5400, he calls with Ah3s
Turn: Ks
River: 3
Obviously saving all my rungood for the big one.
