New Brantford Tournaments Blondefish-Approved!
I looked at Casino Brantford's latest tournament schedule and the structures look much improved (see page 5). Most of the tournaments now start with 10,000 or 15,000 chips. For example, the upcoming $160 Deep Stack has the same 15,000 starting chips  as the $1,090 Deep Stack!
What's just as good are the new Sit and Go tournaments (see page 4). Just like some of the excellent SNGs that I grinded at WSOP Rio and Venetian DSE, these are two-winner SNGs. The $80, $100 and $150 SNGs have 3,000 starting chips and have 15-minute levels. The $230, $340 and $560 SNGs have 20-minute levels, more chips and lower rake.
For example, I want to try the $500+$60 (10.7% rake) SNG with 8,000 starting chips and the top two win $2,500 each. :cool2: Did somebody say BAP? Hopefully, players will request these SNGs so that they will run regularly just like during the Fallsview PC, WSOP and DSE.
When the day comes that I can no longer win enough online, it's great that I now have a "plan B" available:
- Play as many of these Brantford tournaments.
- When I'm done with the tournament, play as many of the SNGs available.
- If there is no more tournament or SNG to play, learn how to play Limit cash games. :-[

It's been a long time since I initiated the posting of "Skill Level" and "Patience Factor," but now that I've started to play live again, it's time to dust off my calculator. The following tournaments have 10,000 starting chips, Skill Level (SL) of 5, and Patience Factor (PF) of 8: $100, $120, $150, $180, and $200.
The following Deep Stack tournaments have 15,000 starting chips, the highest SL of 6, and PF of 11: $120, $160, $200 Bounty, $230 and higher Deep Stacks.
I plan to play the $550 Deep Stack events and possibly the $1,090. PF = 31! :cool2:
How about a BAP Buddy?
This still the case today? Registered for Sunday's 180.
Thx
I'm dying to try my hand at a live sng or mtt
Called poker room. They couldn't find the blinds, but said T10k, first level s/b 25/50. 30 min levels. Expects it to sell out at 80 ppl. Usually ends @ 9-10pm
Took blind structure off the website with instructions to call to ask and then can't find blind structure when you call. Well played.
Any buy-in under $230 is 20 minute blinds. $230 & $330 events are 30 minutes - $550 & up are 40 minute blinds
Blind structures vary a little between events, but are usually:
25 / 50
50 / 100
100 / 200
100 / 200 25
200 / 400 50 (this is where some have a 150 / 300)
300 / 600 75
400 / 800 100
500 / 1000 100
600 / 1200 200
800 / 1600 200
1000 / 2000 300
1500 / 3000 400 (again, some add 1200 / 2400)
2000 / 4000 500
2500 / 5000 500
3000 / 6000 1000
4000 / 8000 1000
5000 / 10000 2000
Thanks - the guy didn't sound like he had a clue. This is very helpful.
I did this a couple years ago and posted it here:

I don't know of any major changes to the tournament structure at Brantford so I think it is still fairly accurate.
Next time I find myself waiting around at Brantford I'll do an update and post as I still use this as a reference for myself and its now 2 years old.
The current tournament structures are always kept in the black book behind the sign-in desk for anyone looking for the info themselves.
