the random double barrel

With really pressured stacks. How important is it to have this play to pull out every once in a while? and how often would you try it?

  • I only choose to double barrel when I have some equity

when you have zero, and get looked up with A high , you feel about an inch tall lol
  • prob bet a lil less on flop and turn ...i can't add up the pot, but im betting the turn for value ???

flop is 2,1 into 4k. Turn is 3,2 into 8,5. If you're betting turn for value you're doing something wrong :P

Im with yoda and say bet smaller on bother street, too many people look at betting according to the pot, when really in this case you should be betting according to his stack. If your going to 1 barrel than the bet is ok I guess, but I'm still betting less. If you 2 barreling Id prob make it 1600 flop and 2500ish on the turn.

Ha ???....ok I'm down wtih 2 barrels or sometimes i check behind turn and consider and AKTJ one of my outs....

bet sizing isn't as big as i thought
  • when seing this flop with these stacks I never imagined getting the chance to double barrel since I expect him jam or fold vs my cbet a high percentage of the time. Why chose a sizing that looks weak enough to encourage villain to go aggro?

And darb, I'm not sure checking behind and trying to find a "scarecard" to bet 3k on makes a lot of sense since you immediatly lose all the pressure you had on his stack by doing so, he'll probably call down with any pair so much more often if you do that

I agree villain jams or folds mostly and flats less. I think his check fold range doesn't change much vs a bigger bet. The hand that call the flop are usually going to call vs a brick on the turn and some will c/r.

As for betting the scare card I dunno, I use it a lot, its really hard for even a rec player not to put you on broadway when you check the turn after cbetting. It doesn't work all the time, but I think it works an amount of time proportional to the bet vs. the pot.
