Calgary Superstack $1,100, Yellowhead from April 29-May 5th

Really want to spread word on both;

Deerfoot Inn & Casino will be hosting an $1,150 with 30,000 start chips and hour levels from April 20-21. 3 days of play so nobody gets burnt out. 4 super sats the Wednesday Thursday leading in, 2 daily for $150. Single tables as well. Hotel is attached, this their own event.

Robert Bowers, poker manager is throwing this. He was actually playing same final table as CrazyKoby when he won his WSOPC ring. Players designing events is a good thing, so hope to see it succeed!

Yellowhead is hosting a tenth annual with a $340, $560, $800, $2200 and a $5,200 mixed PLO/NLH.

If you need another reason to hit Edmonton, see this thread:

Two supers for the $2,200 and one for tickets to both $560 and $800.

    Lol. Pretty sure both Bren and I will play the Super for this Calgary event and there is about a 99.9% chance I won't be able to keep her from playing cash all weekend.

    Hoping T8urmoney puts up a BAP for Edmonton, but also considering a trip for the supers only with intentions to sell if we do snag one. We usually go party for the wife's birthday, but the series is moved ahead one week, so now all the action lands on my sons birthday. :(

    I think we have at least 4 members that play his series now, hopefully we see some action up for grabs!
  • I played at Deerfoot once, in a lively 1/2/5 game. Anyway, the game was very loose pre and the whole table limped around then someone in late position raised... bunch of callers and one of the limpers then reraised (i had folded the first time around). The whole table was chatting about the action, and how the guy couldn't have limped in late position after a bunch of limpers with a hand. I complained to the floor that this was blatant cheating / collusion and the floor told me it was okay. I would not play at an establishment that blatantly sanctions cheating.
  • they do have VERY good blackjack games for anyone who knows how to count cards - best high stakes game in Canada probably. 6 decks and if they slice even more than a deck off it's by a RCH at most. ES10, standard Alberta rules/
  • Bump to say PFC member SLB69 shipped event 1 at WCPC
