This will be a satellite for The 2012 Great Blue Heron Island Poker Series Main Event ($2100 buy in) on Thursday May 31, 2012 - Friday June 1, 2012.
MINIMUM of 10 players needed to make these tournaments happen. Someone will win a seat to the $2100 Main Event, depending on the number of players in the satellite.
Here is your chance to play in The 2012 Great Blue Heron Island Poker Series Main Event at Great Blue Heron Charity Casino in Port Perry Ontario for $220 Dollars.
PLAYERS are asked to bring their CREDIT CARD (Visa or Mastercard) as GBH uses PokerTickets.com to purchase tickets online. Winning players will purchase they're seats online at the end of the Satellite, and will be given cash in hand to cover the purchase
Rules for this tournament; The usual rules that we have been following for all Orangeville Poker Tour Events in addition to the following;
1. Tournament is in CA Dollars since you are winning your buyin into a CA Tournament.
2. The goal is to get 10 players to be able to give away a $2100 seat plus $100 for expenses and PokerTickets.com service charge. This can be adjusted depending on how many players show up.
3. The following payout structure is based on 10 players 1st - $2200, ($2200 for the tournament buy-in plus $100 for expenses and PokerTickets.com service charge) the rest of the payout structure will be dictated by how many players come out.
4. This is an equity tournament. Any winnings from the GBH Island Poker Series Main Event will be divided amongst the players that were in that particular satellite tournament. 85% to the winning player in the GBH Island Poker Series Main Event, the remaining 15% divided evenly amongst the players from that Satellite.
5. All players will sign a contract at the beginning of the satellite tourney in attendance agreeing to these terms.
Tournament starts at 7:00pm, doors open at 6:30pm
Starting Chips: 5000
Buy-In: $220
With this structure this tournament will have a 6 out of 6 Skill Level and a Patience Factor of 13.75
Blind Levels: 30 minutes and follows as close as possible to The GBH Island Poker Series Main Event format with each level
Level 1 = $25 - $50
Level 2 = $50 - $100
Level 3 = $75 - $150
Level 4 = $100 - $200
10 min Break
Level 5 = $150 - $300
Level 6 = $150 - $300; 25ante
Level 7 = $200 - $400; 25ante
Level 8 = $300 - $600; 50ante
10 min Break
Level 9 = $400 - $800; 50ante
Level 10 = $500 - $1000; 75ante
Level 11 = $600 - $1200; 75ante
Level 12 = $800 - $1600; 100ante
10 min Break (Chip Up)
Level 13 = $1000 - $2000; 100ante
Level 14 = $1200 - $2400; 200ante
Level 15 = $1500 - $3000; 300ante
and so on
Usually a 1-2 no limit cash game starts once enough players are eliminated from the Tournament
As Always this is BYOB, I will supply some snacks and some pop.
*if we are unable to purchase seats at the end of the satellite due to event being sold out, then the payouts will be cash instead on seats to the main event.
*Satellite winners that do not have their credit card on hand to purchase their seat, will have their seat money withheld until they can prove that they have purchased their seat through PokerTickets.com
