How can the Judge just give 2 years to Graham James for TWO sexual assaults ?

This is exactly why Judges either need to be elected or a jury decides how long someone goes to jail.

Electing judges is a bad idea. Would not be surprised to see the Crown go for a "Dangerous Offender" tag on James, which means he does not get out that easily.

Didn't he already have that tag previously and they still gave him a pardon? Or am I mixing up two or three different reports?

I don't think he actually had the DO status previously. He was actually pardoned a few years ago for the crimes he already did time for which is obviously a huge and horrible joke.

If I remember correctly, the DO status would still allow him to be reviewed once every two years for release, although I don't remember that happening very often.
