  • Oh, just thought of one more thing. You MUST try the Bally's Sunday Sterling buffet if you're there on Sunday. It is the most amazing buffet and value, IMO. For $45, it comes with all you can drink champagne and the second you put your glass down, Scott (or someone) will fill your glass. Sushi, Lobster, Caviar, Duck, Filet Mignon, you name it they have it. We ate for 2.5 hours and got the most amazing buzz going. You should call ahead and reserve.

    Have a blast!!!

    Cheers

  • Just saw your post now, sorry I didn't respond earlier.

I am not a hard core gambler, so I actually went looking around the city a bit. I found the most entertaining 2 things to be renting a cool car for the day and the gun clubs there.

They both cost a fair amount, but they were things you just can't do back home (Toronto). I got myself a new Viper for $400 for 24 hours - take it out into the desert (there are still nevada highway patrol out there, unfortunately) and it is just unbelievable what it can do. I put 275 miles on it just driving around. You can pick from virtually ANYTHING you have ever imagined. Off roading is another option. Some cool stuff out there.

The gun club was another unique experience for me. We decided to not blow another gorgeous day in the casino, so my buds and I went touring (the day after the Viper) and we found our way into a gun club somewhere in town. They had hundreds of makes and models to pick from, including automatic pistols and machine guns (unavailable here). Our qualifications? We had valid out-of-state licenses.

So we spent $250 trying out the various types of guns and I must have blown through a thousand rounds. It was awesome. Of course, this might not be appealing to everyone, but fine dining can be found anywhere (although Magi's suggestion is a great one) and I get saturated with Luxury after a while.

Then again, there's always the bunny ranch ...
