Winnipeg in February

Just where I always wanted to be.

So, I'm going to Winnipeg for work. We're getting there sometime during the day and need to stay up all night, as we'll be working nights for the rest of the week.

Anyone have any experience with Winnipeg night life? Casino preference? It looks like the casinos are only open 'til 3, are we going to end up just drinking in the hotel after that?

TIA for any info.

    I spent one night in Winnipeg while driving across Canada decades ago. I went to the local pub for a beer and quickly noticed that all the whites were on one side playing pool and all others were on the other side doing the same. While having a few, I noticed several people going out to their trucks and returning making a big point of ensuring everyone noticed them removing the conspicuous white powder from their snouts.

    Obviously, I wasn't in the upscale part of the Peg.

    Upon my return to the motel, I had to physically remove a man from the hood of my car with force. Thought I'd killed him until a very short while later I saw him get up and stagger away muttering obscenities.

    Would not return.
