bust out next hand when the blind consumes me.
i'm going to go all hellmuthian and say .... i couldn't play any better and still bust out 180ish ... i only had an average stack.
I guess i could have flat called and seen a flop, but i thought i could take it down right then and there. I'm not a move-in specialist but i thought that was the better play in that spot.
This is like my 3rd or 4th hand at the table.

QQ and JJ are very hard to play. You really don't want callers since they are so hard to play post-flop if overcards come to the board. If you are desperate, I think pushing pre-flop is the way to go to pick up the blinds and a limper or two. If you have a decent stack, the flat call may have been the better move. If no overcards come on the flop and your opponent isn't showing strength, you can consider your options.
I busted out of a tourney with QQ last night. Same kind of story. Someone called me with a weak Ace and hit it. I was short-stacked and had to make a move so I don't feel too bad about that one.
I also won a decent pot with QQ when I had a caller pre-flop to my standard raise. Board came AKTxx and the guy had J9s. I was sure he was trying to trap me so I ended up checking it all the way through. I guess he thought the same thing. I didn't push my chips pre-flop since I had a healthy stack and wouldn't have minded the chance to bust someone out. Maybe I played that one wrong? I wasn't willing to cripple my stack if the guy showed any strength at all and didn't want to fall into another trap.
