Caribbean Poker Classic

Anyone else catch the Caribbean Poker Classic on SportsNet? It has to have been the worst heads-up poker I've ever seen on television. Then again, it lets me know that I might actually have a chance in one of these large touneys.

My favorite scene was when they were a couple of hours into heads-up play and the dealer was pounding on the table to get the attention of the tournament director who had fallen asleep in the background. I don't blame him, I was pretty much doing the same, having consumed an entire bottle of vino waiting for some action.

  • i agree wholeheartedly, I couldn't believe how horrible some of those guys were playing, I was in shock. Unfortunately for me, I have my PVR setup to tape all the poker that comes on TV and this Caribbean Poker Classic has been on like 5 or 6 times in the last week and half or so, it's a pain in the ass just deleting them.
  • yeah...i saw that too. It was pretty bad...guy who lost actually played well i thought. Guy who won just had a lot of good hands....i could not belive how many times he went with big raises when he had amazing cards insted of trapping. Oh well..
  • yeah it was bad.

the announcers were not to impressed either

No apology neccessary, look up a search for "poker books" and you might find 1 or 2...or 1000. I saw your post and thought "hmmm, didn't I start this thread?". Sure enough, your thread echoed exactly what I was saying. Glad we're on the same page :)
