Finally got Chip Display I was after...
On my first trip to Vegas in 2007, I instantlly got the bright idea to run to every casino for a $1 chip...problem was, aside from over priced chips displays on e-bay, I could not find a proper display for them. They sat in an acrylic rack for a few years, until another poker obsessed friend asked to purchase them.
This past trip in December, I went to the Gambling Supply store (bside the other gambling store lol) in Vegas and almost bit in the first one on a $200 framed peice that had ten strip chips. I got them down 10% but decided to think on it.
Next stop found what I was after. The frame was $100 and they had the chips from every casono for $3 or $2.50 if you bought 25 or more. They had discountinued $5s for same price, but they have a hole drilled in them. It holds 47, so into it for about $232. I had just cashed out at Aria for $257 from $100, so figured it was a good treat.
They also had some very cool tilles and vintage chips, some framed but pricey. Next trip.
In the mean time, this is my new prized addition to the poker room:

I also bought some hi/low, crazy pinapple/hold'em hold'em/omaha buttons so there is no further drunk confusion....

This is the display my wife made for me. The chips are (mostly) geographically correct as to the casinos on the Strip.
That's awesome Johnnie
+1. Love it! She did some nice work, like the geographically correct idea.
There are a few chips yet to put in, plus whatever I snag later this month. When it's complete I'll post another pic.
Jon, are there any chips you are missing? Let me know and I'll get them for you. (Or anybody else)
I think I may have to copy you here, awesome idea
Sure, I know I have a few extras right now. $1s from TI, Harrah's and Flamingo for sure.
As always if anyone has a request, let me know.
