I am going to AC with the same group of guys as I have gone with the past few years and this time we overlap with the above. We are scheduled to arrive around 3pm on the 11th and interestingly enough there is a seniors event (50+) starting at 5pm that I am thinking of taking a shot at. It is $230. with 30 min blinds and 8K chips to start (160bb). It is not a ring event however.
The next day is the last event which is a turbo for $345. which I believe has 20min blinds for the first 12 levels, 30 min after. 10K chips to start. (200bb). It does award a ring..
It's this turbo that I am considering that I have questions about.
Anyone played one like this before? If I play is the correct play to gamble it up and try and take chances to accumulate chips or do my normal play tight and ramp up later? Any words of wisdom?

Pulled them from previous circuit events, these were from Harrah's circuit in AC in Dec. According to what I have read all circuit events have the same structure for all stops.
As I said before not likely but you never know.:)
