Master Bombardier Adam Holmes: Beyond the call of duty | News | National Post


For those who do not wish to read the entire article about a Canadian hero, Master Bombardier Adam Holmes is about to receive the Medal of Military Valor (MMV) from the Governor General of Canada. This is the 3rd highest award for valor possible for a soldier in the Canadian military, behind only the Meritorious Service Cross, and the Victoria Cross. The Medal is awarded for "conspicuous acts of valor or devotion in the presence of the enemy".

    Read the link . . . the guy was a BEAST over a period of about 48 hours (article is a tad fuzzy on times, but definitely more than 1 day). Only stopped because he got blown up, literally.
