Goals for 2012
1. Finish college
2. Move to Edmonton
3. Make the jump from online poker to live
4. Play 600 hrs of live poker from May to the end of the year
5. Keep good records of my live sessions
6. Profit
1. Get consistent and resolve to only play my A game (not drunk or tired as heck......skill level is disadvantage enough)
2. make my studying to playing ratio .5 to 1. has been much much too low with almost no effort to improve in some months.
3. get to Vegas or AC for some big time experience
4. Finally get a PC to actually be able to use the better 3rd party programs
5. Make time to play some MTT's
6. 3 Digit cash
4,5,6 done (5 is obviously still in progress and 6 will hopefully be repeatable.
Also quit regular online grinding and I think the loss in bankroll as a result is about equivalent to the increase in healthy lifestyle and social life.
Really enjoying live MTT lately especially with the crew we've developed through OPT. Dont really miss online grinding at all.
- Dont deposit at all in 2012
- Learn as much as I can
- Be nicer and tilt less
- Post hands im not sure of and get input, and not be afraid of what people think
- Play live more
1) Crack the top 50 in a WSOP event this year. (My best is a 51st)
2) Play more online poker. (Now that the kids are getting slightly older, will hopefully start to see a little more free time in the evenings to do this)
3) Money in a WSOP-C event that I will be going to in late January with Wetts1012
4) Travel to more events other than just Las Vegas. BCPC, WSOP Europe, EPT, Deepstack Tour Event, etc
5) Money in a GBH event
6) Win back to back OPT Season ending Tournaments
7) Win back to back Ching Hill Season ending Tournaments
8) Make my BAP stakers some money
9) And of course the obvious, keep my bankroll in the + figures.
I believe that most of these are pretty obtainable goals
1. Had a good WSOP all around but did not crack top 50
2. Have played more online but not as much as planned
3. Big win on this one
4. So far so good, and have lots more events coming up
5. No cash yet, but lots of GBH events still coming up
6. Fail
7. Fail
8. Win, and still chance to make backers more
9. So far so good

+1 this... Although I didn't set any poker goals, I haven't played much at all this year and in fact haven't played online or live in the past 2 months and haven't missed it at all... Not saying I won't play at all but just not feelin it...

1.) Profit: Setting different goals for online and live this year:
Online: 40k
short......26k
Live: 10k
fail.....
+2091 in cash games
-8679 in tourney's (ouch...but does include some big buyins, 3300 wpt which were actually satty's won)
-6588 total
Total: 50k
just less than 20k
2.) Events: Play at least one WSOP event
Play at least 5 VDSE (or similar Vegas tourneys)
Play one foreign event (EPT, WPT, LAPT, etc)
Didn't make the WSOP, but did manage 5 VDSE events over the year, one WPT event, and, overall, played the most big-buy in events than in any other year (2 1k's, 1 2k, and one 3k)....now I just need to work on cashing:-[
3.) 5 Digit Cash: One online
One Live
Megafail.......biggest cash was the WPT satty for 6k...and that was the biggest by far
4.) Chat Ban: Avoid chat ban on Stars (and overall tiltiness)
obv fail, but I've been clean for 4 months
5.) Win a $300+ b/i live tourney
fail, got a 4th as my best result for 300+ tourneys
