Negatives I've read is that the walk at night isn't too safe and that you can get screwed by owners in foreclosure trying to rent to you.
If I go ahead with Vegas, which depends on whether I get a job in Cali first, this looks like the only decent short-term furnished rental. There are a few units for sale at the moment ranging 80k-180k that sold for 500k plus a few years back....depending on my future plans this may be a consideration if I can rent out a furnished place a few months of the year.
If I am there for WSOP Wetts gets free rent for a small % of his MTTs:)

Seems like a decent community, though. Especially if I only go for 3-4 months, nice short-term option.
