Vekked has made it through Day 1a with 18,300 in chips
Indeed. I ended up peaking at around 45k. My first table was pretty soft with 2 fishy players and 1 megafish. I spent most of the time trying to stack the megafish and chipped up to 45k. Ended up losing most of it back to him when I missed some draws and he just kept barreling off his chips. He eventually busted with 4th pair + a gut shot in a 300BB pot, but not to me . Chipped back up to 38k from 27k in a 3-bet pot vs. Jason Somerville (unfortunately on my left most of the day), then got switched tables with 3 levels left.
I literally played 4 hands at my last table (QQ x 2, AK, AQ), lost a medium pot with QQ the first time to KK post flop where I called 2 streets, probably should've lost my stack pre-flop but since I was so card dead I decided not to 3-bet with no history. Other 3 hands won the blinds. Crazy card dead at an aggro table so wasn't much I could do with <30BB but wait for a spot to get it in. Hopefully I get some more cards on day 2!
Just busted. Doubled early and chipped up to about 45k at 500/1000. Blinded some away down to around 38k at 600/1200. Then the button opened to 3k, I made it 7100 in the SB, the BB shoved for ~27000, button folded and I called AQ. BB showed 86s and hit a flush . Doubled back up to about 25k with JJ > KJs all in pre a few hands later. Made it to 800/1600 and the first hand back I jammed button with J9s for 24k total and BB called 55, flopped a flush draw and bricked everything. Just not my tourney, ah well, to the beach!
