No limit and Tourney Books

Good day,

Can someone recommend a good book on the above. Lately all I am getting my hands on are limit strategy books which are pretty standard.

Need a good book on tourney play and no limit.

Thanks in advance.

  • Sklansky has a good book on tournament poker.

McEvoy has co-authored a few books on no-limit or pot-limit poker. At least one each with Daugherty and Cloutier. They also have a book or two on practice hands for no limit. I haven't picked one up yet but I think these would be very helpful.

    Good luck.
  • I'd recommend:

    Tournaments

No-Limit Holdem (New Players series): Daugherty & McEvoy (Beginner)

    Harrington on Holdem: Harrington (Intermediate)

Tournament Poker for Advanced Players: Sklansky (Advanced)

    No-Limit Holdem

    Pot-Limit & No-Limit Holdem: Ciaffone & Reuben

Super System 2: Doyle Bronson, et al.

(I like the SS2 version of Doyle's NL section now. Even some minor revisions and a few more good examples really clears up the presentation over SS1. Although, I have yet to wrap my head around his bizzare fascination with double gutshots.)

  • I can heartily recommend Ciaffone's book. He's got an amazing mind when it comes to the game. I think he's right up there with harrington.

    Cheers
