My honeymoon in Vegas TR.

My original thought was to just attach this TR to Moose’s report as there isn’t a lot to tell due to the short time we were in Vegas but I decided to go with my own thread.

My wife and I arrived in Vegas on the 20th and proceeded to check in at the Luxor. The room was nice but definitely too far away from everything. We proceeded to Planet Hollywood and signed up for our Total Rewards Card. After getting our card we went right to the PH buffet and bought the 24 hour pass. After eating we wondered around the strip for a while and took in the sights. By the time we got back to the room it was 4am our time. Long day.

On the 21st we ate breakfast at Paris keeping an eye out for Moose but didn’t run into them yet. The crepes at the Paris Buffet were fantastic. My wife wanted to go on the Price is Right Live while I played poker so we headed to Ballys to get her signed up. She didn’t get called up but loved it. She would definitely recommend it to others. I headed over to IP to play in the 40 +10 rebuy +10 add on tournament. While waiting I ran into Moose and we headed over to O’shea’s to play some 1-2 NL. We had a great table right on the street but I dumped my buy in pretty quickly. Ran a bluff into a full house who thought I had Quad 8’s LOL and ran my set into a rivered straight. Not my finest hour (if it was even that long). I headed back to IP and took my seat, not the best structure which I had been warned about but had some fun. Didn’t win anything. Nothing memorable happened.

After IP we headed to the Rio using the Bally’s shuttle for dinner at the Buffet and Penn and Teller. Buffet was great again and loved the Penn and Teller show.

Our final full day in Vegas I played a tournament at Treasure Island. Treasure Island poker room was fantastic, it was very clean/new and the staff were friendly. I played in the 50 NL and played quite well. The tournament had just under 3 tables. The 7pm tournament gets 3 tables usually and the 10pm tournament often gets around 6 tables. The structure was fast but 20 minutes blinds were good. Top three places paid and we were down to the final four. I pushed with a 10X stack and got called by a smaller stack. Unfortunately I don’t remember the cards but it was a race, I lost and was crippled to 1/10th a BB. I pushed my stack several times and was able to get back up to a reasonable stack still just 10X BB. Then one of the players got stacked and we were down to the final three. My first poker cash in Vegas, Whooo Hooo. I quickly doubled up through the big stack and all three of us were around even. A chop was discussed but grumpy guy to my right wanted to play it out which was fine with me as I thought I had an edge at this time. A few hands later I pushed all in with AJ and was called by the grumpy guy who had 10J. A 10 on the turn put me out in third.

Final night we headed to freemont street and had a good time down there. Played at little black jack at Freemont casino and ate a binions café. Has anyone played at the Shark Tank, looked pretty cool.

Add a couple $100 plus slot wins, minor win at BJ and the 3rd place at TI and I finish with a profit on my 4 days in Vegas.

Thanks for reading
