Four Aces Poker Club - review
Toronto Aces Poker Club.
Looking through Meet-up last week and noticed and new club in Scarborough that happens to be 2 minutes from my house.
I went there last night to give it a try.
First off this is a tournament only club. There are no cash games as there is no beniffit to the club.
The game I played was a $20.00 buy-in with an optional $5 bounty and an optional rebuy for the first hour. It was winner take all format with $100.00 going to the second round of tournaments for qualification to the Fallsview 1K and $100.00 in cash to the winner. This is the same as OPT as you give up equity in the 1K (15%...I believe).
There was no rake what so ever! Since there was no rake it was self dealt. They even say if you want snacks and drinks you should bring them as they are providing the location free of charge. The club is out of a store front on Kingston Road east of Morningside and there is a convince store located next to it...no affiliation.
The place was well organized and the tournament was run smooth.
I would recommend this club to all levels of players. Great place to practice your skills for a low cost. Best of all since there is no rake, it is a legal club.
I am going back for sure.
