18 Hour Session at Niagara
Haven't been in a while and had some time to myself, so I headed to Casino Niagara for some $1/$2 NL action. Got onto a table at 8:30pm and played until 2:30pm the next day.
That's 18 hours, 19, if you count day light savings. I forgot how much fun it is to play there.
The frist table I sat at, just opened, so everyone had the same stack sizes or less. Five of the players were fairly new to the game and were easy to pick on. One woman, couldn't fold if she had top pair, I made about $100 from her alone.
Another poor guy, just couldn't beat me. He was there for a bachelor party and by the time he left (11pm), I had his $200 buy in. To be fair, I was running like Ussain Bolt at the beginning of the night. Making flushes on the river, hitting sets,
When the fish left the table, I took a break and asked for a table change. This was around 1:00am.
By 7:00am, I was feeling so tired but then breakfast was served ($2.99 deal) and it perked me up. I changed tables again and never looked back. First monster hand came when I had AA, villain raised to $15, one caller and I re-raise to $50. Villain re-raises to $150, caller folds and I re-raise him all in, he tanks and eventually calls and my AA holds against his QQ for a $700 pot.
One hand later, I'm dealt 7-3 suited in the BB. UTG raises to $15, UTG+2 re-raises to $24 and gets four callers !! I confirmed with the dealer that since the all in is a short raise, UTG cannot re-raise and he confirms that he cannot so I decided to call.
There are six of us to the flop with $144 in the pot already and it comes 4-5-6 rainbow !! I hit the miracle straight. I check, UTG goes all in for his last $95 and the button goes all in for $110 and I call. UTG has AA and button has 5-6 for two pair and my straight holds for another monster pot.
After 19 hours, I left with $1300.00 from my initial $200 buy-in. Almost $60/hr. I wish every session was this good. I may have to go back this weekend and see if it was a fluke.

I don't know if it's a fluke. You would be surprised what hourly rates are attainable in good 1/2 games. Of course the deeper the games and the higher the "normal" pre-flop raises the higher the hourly as the blinds become less relevant.
