  • He was saying the same thing when you out flopped him.
  • Serious question: bad call by me? I put him on QQ+ and figured I'm 200bb deep, he's about 180bb, I hit my 3, I get his stack. Or was this just me chasing the pot of gold?

I actually didn't want to start anything by saying it was a bad call.

But is was a horrible, horrible call pre. Not even close to the right odds, implied or otherwise.

Truly? Please see the link below, I thought it was not a good spot to call there but this one by Cerberus seems ok so deep.
    Sorry darbday ;)

  • This one is very close to the 10-1 odds, however, and this is a big however. You have to take into account the number of times you flop a set AND don't get his stack for whatever reason. In this case a flopped A would probably mean you don't get his stack. 3 to a flush probably means you don't, all sorts of reasons. If you assume you only get his stack 1/2 the time that you hit, I would think you would need more than 10-1 ratio of bet to stack ratio, maybe 15-1??? Unless this guy has been way out of line, I probably fold here as well.. Now if we have 2 or more callers, all 180 BB's or more deep then I probably call as the chances of getting somebodies stack increases significantly.
  • not good enough a price for set mine.

    fold pre
  • Thanks guys. I figured I had missed a line of addition or multiplication in there somewhere.

How did you decide he doesn't have ak aq or a bluff here?

the other problem is if he has say QQ and the flop comes A3X or AK3 or K3X
very unlikey you'll take his stack that way. And of course if he has AK and the flop comes 3XX with no A or K .....he won't stack either...

EDIT: damn, just figured id take the time to repeat what comp already said.. ;p
