Anyone doing Blue Water Classic?

Was just looking at upcoming events and see that they had only 3 seats left fir event 1. With all the BAPs was curious as to why I haven't seen the Ontario folk talking about the 300 or 600 event?

Anyone going?

I actually think this is right. If I remember correctly players are allowed to play 1b even if they qualify on 1a, but the smaller stack is removed and last place money awarded.

Remember something about if there is several players who double advance they split the last few payout spots evenly.

I know I did an article and made note of this weird little system for one Ontario event, just not 100% if this was it and too lazy right now to find...
  • Found it: "Another unique rule at this particular event is that players can choose to play the second “qualifying” day of the main event, even if they have already advanced to Sunday’s “Final Showdown”.* If a player qualifies a second time, the higher chip stack is carried forward and the player is awarded an equal share of the lowest payouts added together and split evenly amongst any other players that also qualified twice.* Players can also choose to register for both days and if they advance on the first day receive a refund for the second day’s entry, less registration fee."

Back in March, first time I looked at this one
  • I believe fiesta al lago does the same type of thing, only they allow you to carry both stacks on to day two, and combine them. Generates more rake for casino and bigger prize pools, but I'm not really sure how much I like the idea yet.
