  • you probably lost the minimum.....your luck sucks!
  • I would have folded the river. Otherwise looks good.
  • Don't say this often.........but that's a hand I toss preflop in this spot.

As played, was good other than call on river.......really can't beat anything other than air.
  • I was about to say

Fold preflop. Aside from your set draw, you only have straight draws to the nuts. Your flush draw can get you into a cooler situation - further, once the board pairs you're soooo beat.

  • Thanks for the input. The issue with Omaha is variance. I'm becoming a calling station to reduce how much I lose in situations like this where the turn or the river makes your hand turn into mush. I don't regret how I played, but need to learn how to get out of a situation when the board pairs.
  • laying down big hands takes alot of practice and discipline, it sucks to do and online everything moves SO quickly, I used to lose with alot of set over set situtations before
  • This is not laying down a big hand.

The issue with Omaha isn't variance so much as realigning your concept of a powerful hand. 2nd nut flush on a paired board is about as strong as top pair in NLHE.

  • Im not saying it was that big once the turn comes, it sucks to give hands like this up is about all I meant. To some a flush is a big hand.
  • it's pretty much all been said but fold pre. As played ask yourself what you can beat by the river and muck, if he's taking that line with a smaller flush he's just stupid
