Sick of stars...looking to branch out - and try my hand at bonus whoring as well. Looking for suggestions - what sites are offering the best bonuses right now or in February?
I did a bunch of experiments with the bonus play in January. It can be profitable though a bit of a grind at times.
If you have not signed up for any other sites yet then you are in good shape to get extra bonuses through refer a friend or referral companies for most of the sites.
I apologize if this sounds like a bit of an advertisement in advance , but I have used http://www.pokersourceonline.com when starting with a couple of other sites and they are very reputable and they have just formed some type of partnership with Canadian Poker Player magazine ( I don't know the details) so they also have some Canadian content to them as well.
They offer extra prizes for a large number of sites and if for some reason you sign up with them feel free to use Perplex as a referral . Again, if this reply violates the advertising content of this section then the mods are free to delete the appropriate parts.
Specifically Party Poker has seemed to offer the most in bonuses the past couple of months ($500 in Dec and Jan combined). Whichever sites you do sign up for use a reputable affiliate site or a friend with refer a friend to obtain an extra bonus when signing up, as they are always in addition to whatever sign up bonus a site will give. Also, an internet search can lead to web sites dedicated to bonus play as well.
Im trying all the cryptologic sites right now, and i deposited into Caribbean Sun Poker, i deposited just $125 because its a $40 for 250 raked hands, but the thing is, i have $125 bonus pending in my acct......still gotta wait for the pin tho

Casino match bonus that can't be cleared in the pokerroom.
Check out www.carsands.com for the casino software and more information. It's no risk (meaning ifyou lose all the bonus money, you can stop playing and still be able to cash out your full deposit).
i can run a list of them if you like. set up your own account, find a friend or family member to do one as well, and play it for them. there are 6 cyrpto sites (to my knowledge, if there are more let me know) and you can clear about $800/month with break even play
i was told by the support team, that i have to wager 25x $125 (my deposit) to clear it, so it comes to $3125 or so, but ill evenutally clear it.... are u sure it cant be cleared in pokerroom (take me a while regardless, only playing 1-2 right now)
wow, i just checked out pokersourceonline, that place rocks, that's some wicked free stuff you can get for signing up for different sites, I just opened a NeTeller account, so I will definitely be accessing some of that action.

Good luck.
So if I use a referal site (like the one you mentioned) I will get a bonus from them and a bonus from the site (i.e. Party - how much bonus could I get on $100 deposit using your recommended referral site?)
Look at it this way for whenever you start a new money account at one of these sites (as that is the only time these choices exist).
In all cases you get whatever the initial deposit bonus is with a site whether you use a referral company or a friend or none. I think for Party Poker it's $100 or something, but that will be there no matter what choice you make.
For the extra stuff you can do the following:
1) Have someone refer you as a friend.
- This usually results in you getting an extra $25 (after you play a reasonable amount of raked hands) and your friend will get $50 at that time also.
2) Use a company like pokersourceonline. There are other ones like rakeback based companies which operate along the same principle.
For any new account that is signed up through them they will get a small amount of the rake you contribute back. Essentially they are out there trying to generate new business for poker rooms and that is why they can offer the extra gifts.
Basically those extra gifts are a replacement for the refer a friend bonus (again the initial deposit bonus will always be there no matter what).
You can choose the gifts which are handy or points (which may be the logical approach as they may give more points then the same gift costs so you just get the points buy the same gift have some leftover points).
Another option that site provides is a frequent flopper program which is a variation of a rakeback program. If you sign up for that on a site then a % of the rake will earn you points (their site can provide exact numbers). This is probably the best option for the site you will play the most on as it will payoff more in the long run.
For the other sites you may just want to do a promotion get your gift and deposit bonus and cash out. That's pretty much what I did with Gaming Club, Pacific and Absolute.
They also provide monthly freerolls with a decent payout as well for members, subject to some conditions (ie: need to complete a promotion).
No matter what you decide, just remember that there is never a huge rush when it comes to making a new poker account. Read all of the details of the promotions and be certain that you know everything that is involved and plan out what you will do with each poker room in advance. If you have any questions you can always post them in the appropriate forums and they will be quickly answered.
