300 dpi non-copywrited logo?

So, getting some advertising done for my stupid torturous painting business. Company is asking for me to send them my artwork, minimum quality of 300dpi.

Anyone have any ideas where to find some images of min 300 dpi, non-copywrite logo type things for a painting company? Tried google images and all I get is a bunch of pictures of guys painting pictures. That is not my strong point.

Yes, I'm new to the advertising thing and the art thing.

My suggestion would be to go to a local print shop and see how much one of their guys would charge to design a logo for you. I had one done about 8 years ago and it only cost me $50.
  • Have you tried googling 'painting logos' and clicked on images? Plenty to work with there if you have some ability to cut and paste etc.
  • 300 dpi at what dimensions?
  • I think I have this dealt with. I should have followed up on the thread more when I figured things out.

Basically, I'm just putting a small ad in a local real estate magazine. I wanted it to be fairly simple, not cluttered. One image, then my contact information.

I was having a royal pain of a time finding a 'stock image' that was free, and didn't have one of those little 'watermarks' on it (which I've now learned means it isn't free).

Anyhoo, here's the image I found that I think works.

The add space is slightly larger than your average business card.

Wow, yup tried that. Went to google images, tried painting logos. Everything was either some guy painting a picture, a picture, or some other thing that had nothing to do with what I wanted.

That was my plan though. Import image to MS word, done.
