Poker background,
Played poker since I was about 13 (1974). Fun games no money. Graduated to nickel/dime games with friends by my higher teens/early twenties. Assorted games with friends throughout last 20 years, lower stakes, but nothing regularly.
AND, (sorry Dave lol) I sat beside Dave at a local casino no limit holdem tourney about 3 months ago. It was my first and only B+M event so far. It was a little intimidating, because online, the computer handles everything. Minimum bets, raises, blinds, etc. I made some rooky mistakes, got some good advice, and lasted about 2 hours. lol As I recall, it was just minutes before the 2nd break. I had fun, and learned a bit too.
Then I blitzed the online sites daily for months. Played at PartyPoker for months first, then switched to Canadian Poker Player, and more recently also Pokerstars. Better to have too many sites than too few. lol I don't know if CPP keeps logs of time online, but if they do I think my time count would border on OBSESSIVE lately. Especially the last two weeks. lol
Offshoot of UB, yes Scotty. Except they don't offer real money games. Gotta log into UB for that, but the same CPP user ID works there too. The sites must share common registration.
