Better lucky than good!

I misread the overbet on the flop, I thought he was weak and trying to represent a pair of aces, but after I luckboxed the set of Kings I got paid off and then I caught a boat on the river for good measure.

  • Actually I take that back, I would much rather be good than lucky. I busted out right before the money and squandered that early chip lead. I suck.
  • Why the min raise with KK? Seems like you're begging to be cracked.

It was still early in the tournament and the blinds weren't really big enough to bother stealing so I didn't want to kill my action by having everyone fold to me.

I was really hoping that someone would re-raise me pre-flop and I could get my money in then.

i had this issue too..and still do sometimes...we'll get sucked out lots for sure...but we need to maximize our value for the times when oppenent flats pre calls flop, turn, and river bets with TT JJ etc. so its build big pots with big hands

we need to make money here to conter act the times we get coolered etc.

also we would rather raise bigger to isolate so we aren't multiway...

but prob most important is that the key 'they say' to beating lower stakes is never bluffing because people always call. I say raise big esp from ep or mp and expect someone to call.

also sometimes raising bigger puts people in awkward spots with hand like tt where they don't want to flat so they three bet pre and don't realize they won't fold when you four bet jam.....

from cu or button i might raise smaller tho.

anyways i know your just venting...sux i know....
