Brantford Deep Stack Tournaments

Here are a few good ones coming up at Brantford. Perhaps the $1000 would be worthy of a home satellite? I don't have the facilities or I'd offer to host...

Thursday, Sept 15. $500 Deepstack with estimated prize pool of $ 36,000

Sunday, Sept 18. $ 1,000 Deepstack with estimated prize pool of $ 72,000

I frequent the well-run tourneys at Brantford. They run twice a week - Thursday and Sunday - plus a Ladies Tournament every 2nd week (which draws more and more men each time). They cap players at 80. It is best to buy your seat ahead of time over the phone with credit card as they always fill up.

    Capped at 80.

    Structure: 15,000 starting stack / 30 minute blinds.

    The $1k is still not listed on the OLG Poker site. Are these deepstacks happening or not? Anyone know for sure?

    When I cashed at a Brantford tournament last week, I tried to buy in to the deep stack tournaments, but registration is available only up to 4 weeks in advance. The OLG site is very slow in updating upcoming events. By the way, I have started a BAP thread.

    I am in. Playing the $500 buy in tomorrow as well.

    When I was there on Sunday both Thursday and Sunday's deep stack events were half way sold. They have been running sattelites for these and I expect them to be sold out by the time they start.

    Just a shout out to forum member The Game for finishing in 3rd place yesterday at the Brantford $ 1000 Deepstack!

    Did anyone else here cash yesterday?

    4th for $760 on Thursday 20Oct - Brantford Casino. Competition was soft.

    Final Table was all Shove / Fold as blinds go quick at the end, although it was an OK structure till then. Start with 7,500 Chips.

    Will play the $500 BI on Sunday, Oct 23rd. (54 runners as at 20Oct.)

    Show up to 10k chips, 30 minute levels. We play 25-25 and half of 25-50 when they decide that they're using the wrong blind structure.

    How do they fix it?

    Jump direct to 100-200, with 40 minute levels.

    Brantford $500. Busted early. AA preflop cracked, Two hands later - House over house. Wetts still in.

    That's pretty bad. At the $1,000 event, there were already a bunch of retarded all-ins with 15,000 starting chips and 300 big blinds, then the sold-out tournament was paused as it was oversold and two more players showed up to play! :bs: One table had to have 11 players, & when another player was eliminated, one of the supervisors wanted to have a table redraw instead of just removing the empty seat! :rolleyes:
