CPT standings?

What $$ amount do they use to track money winners who have cut a deal?

Example. Cpt tournament that pays $10,000 to 1st, $5,000 to 2nd and $3,000 to 3rd. The final 3 agree to $7,000, $7,000 and $4,000 but play out the game to determine the placement.
Does the CPT use their original $$ amount for the official standings?($10k, $5k & $3k)

  • In the game I played in we made a three way deal for the top three spots and split the money. We then finished playing for the CPT points/standings and they used what the original prize money would of been for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for the CPT standings.
  • The CPT uses official money. You can't really use deals since (1) the CPT might never know about the deal, and (2) it makes CPT collusion a little easier.

I assume that this has not changed.
  • Thanks for the replies.
I run a small regular tourney which I am tracking the winnings for each player to determine the money winners at the end of the year. Last night was the first time a deal has ever been cut so I now have to make a decision..
I like using actual winnings as apposed to what it should have been for this game. Now that I have had time to think about it I think that is the way I will go.. Unless of course a better argument is post here.
