A little better than the last hand i posted, i hope. I figured he had the straight draw. When the 3 hit i figured it missed, but didnt figure he had total garbage hand to start. Was thinking 5-6 s or o. Would expect more action from him after that flop with 4-5

Bet too much on the river? I was hoping he would give up, or call with nothing or lower pair.

Comments

  • 3 bet pre to 360. As played you should probably checkraise flop or check call if you think he likes to barrel. That said you got some nice value out of donkbetting so it looks ok to me

thats effectively a raise to see where we are at i think

So your saying you're not willing to put 25 BB's in with AQ from the SB vs a button open? ^^'

Edit: Oh, not a button open, still folding or 3bet calling pre though

Edit^2: Oh, not 25 BB ^^' If I 3bet I do it to 180 then. But given stacks I call pre and check call a bunch

Also, OP's logic is pretty flawed, if you put him on a straightdraw for some reason that's a reason to check call river, not to bet and hope "he calls with nothing" ^^'

    1430/30 ???

    420'd tho

Thats pretty much why Im here. To get some info into other ways of thinking/playing and refine my play. The fish in me tends to bet agressive to induce folding and prevent suckouts. I didnt consider a check call, but now that I think about it it makes much more sense, I know he wasnt laying down trip 3, but i could probably have limited my loss more with a check call.

If I checked on the river, what would be an apropriate fold if he bet high?

you played the hand fine. he sucked out on the river. just keep in mind sometimes he has ak or aces and your just value owning yourself. if you check the river you prob have to call any bet he makes in case he has like AT or AJ or KK
  • On this rivercard I'm amost never folding,... unless he overbets the pot, in which case it's down to a read
