After the US government declared war on PS/FTP, PartyPoker has fired off its own nuclear bomb! I had been tempted to play live in a casino or on Merge for 35% rakeback, but obviously this 100% rakeback opportunity is a much better choice.

There is also a $200 reload bonus. If you don't have a PartyPoker account yet, sign up through the forum link and code on the right. I'm thinking of giving free PartyPoker coaching to my buddies who sign up through me, but I may be too busy grinding the rake-free games! I rarely start a game after midnight, but I am multi-tabling the rake-free MTTs right now.

    I think you had to open an account with the Merge network before this month, as Merge has greedily stopped any rakeback accounts since. :( So the best poker game to play are the PartyPoker tournaments by far while the rakeback is 100%.

    I think this depends on the skin you use, as I have heard nothing from my affiliate manager for Gr88.

    Interesting...yep..just confirmed..no new rakeback accounts...wish they had of notified us of this sooner.

    Yea, the party promo is like the absolute nuts, didn't realize until I played today. I really hope it goes for at least a week or something. Def gonna throw in a few more tourneys than normal for the extra 10% ROI or w/e it figures to.

    Yes, I paid five figures in tournament fees in 2010, so if only this 100% rakeback opportunity would last an entire year! PartyPoker is giving up millions of dollars and it's all going to the relatively small percentage of savvy players taking advantage of it, but it could be gone anytime and it may never happen again.

    Wat, I thought it was only me and Vekked taking advantage of the rake-free tournaments! ;) Seriously, there is going to be maintenance, so all of tonight's remaining tournaments have been cancelled. There will be a new software version that will download in the morning.

    This game-changing promotion will last until at least August 7. I hope to save ~$2K in rake until then.

    Just read about this and thought about ressurecting the "Party's declining guarantees" thread from a few months back.

    Let's see if this can revive some of the dwindling numbers at Party.

    Pokerscout.com now has PartyPoker ranked as #2, with yesterday's traffic the highest in four months. IF enough players switch to Party, PokerStars and other sites will be forced to join the promotions war. :cool2:

    Even though PartyPoker's promotions page states that the 100% rakeback promotion is until August 7 (see below), it seems that the party is over early and as of midnight, the rake is back as high as 17%-20%! :rage:

    For the few that took advantage of the rake-free promotion, how did you do for the month? The only friend that I personally know played more because of the promotion had his highest monthly profit and was starting to make projections of being able to quit his job, but I warned him how quickly things can change in online poker and only hours later, the party's over.

    I was planning to grind at PartyPoker this week and use up my $540 and $215 multiple tickets, but I feel like trying out the CNE Casino's 5% rake and/or Brantford tournament instead. :p

    Unfortunately, Party Pooper wiped out hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of guarantees, and the only other regular multi satellite left is the Friday 5 Seats Gtd - used to be 20 seats Gtd! :mad: The Saturday 9 AM 15 Seat and other multiple guarantees have been wiped out! :'(

    To make matters worse, the Summer Million that had been promoted as rake-free $640+0 since July 4 has now been changed to $600+40. In other words, more than $60,000 will be removed from the players' prize pool this Sunday. :rage: I will never play that tournament again unless there is an overlay, and will instead keep the money for my future live bankroll.

    Note that the $200 reload bonus (code 200JULY) expires this Sunday, August 7. Even though I withdrew some money after my deposit, I still got the $200 bonus.

    For players like Vekked who took advantage of this 100% rakeback promotion earlier this year, what did you think about it?

    In my case, it coincided with one of my worst downswings ever. I'm not sure if it's partly because PartyPoker's rake-free tournaments mainly attracted smart winning players, while the fish didn't play more since they don't understand the huge impact of rake.

    Just when I thought that one of my 2012 Poker Resolutions would be to grind less, I heard that this 100% rakeback promotion is coming back in the new year! :o
