That said, it would have been tough to fold your 2 pair with pot odds of 2.75 to one to make the call, but implied odds were actually worse as BTN was pot-committed and should have put the rest in on the river. Your all-in wouldn't have chased them out of the pot.
I think how to play this hand really depends on your read of BTN's past playing history, if they were playing really loose I probably would have shoved too, if they were playing solid or tight it should have been easier to fold on the turn.
