    Very sad. Columbo was one of the first shows I watched as a kid. Like WildBill said in the DP thread, dementia is a horrible way to go.

    Yeah, dementia is a sad way to go. In his Wiki it says that near the end he couldn't remember his Columbo character.

    My favourite episode is the one where William Shatner plays the vain actor. Classic.
