FTP- CAD Cashouts

  • I made a small deposit on Full Tilt about 30 seconds before the shutdown. The authorization was processed when all games were already paused, and almost as soon as it was processed, I got kicked off the site and was never able to log on again. The _charge_ was processed the day _after_ the shutdown. I emailed Full Tilt about 20 times and finally got a reply today saying they are "unable to process any withdrawal requests," which isn't responsive to my concerns. I also contacted my credit card company and demanded a charge reversal based on non-delivery of services, not to mention fraud, and they said the investigation will take "up to 120 days." In the end I'm sure I'll get my money back from the credit card company, but having those funds in limbo thanks to Full Tilt's fraudulent behaviour is galling.

You deposited via a Canadian credit card? If you don't mind me asking, which card? I was of the understanding that all Canadian banks had blocked those years ago. I thought only some vanilla ones worked.

Prepaid card. Those are not blocked, but they're not cost-effective to use for anything except poker deposits. ... Well, okay, they're not terribly cost-effective for poker deposits, either, but if you want to keep your bank account confidential, they're an option.

You can get a prepaid card at pretty much every cheque cashing place, and there are about 300 of them in Toronto. They all charge a reg fee, a load fee, a transaction fee and an ABM fee.

We know all about those, however as I understand them, once you have processed the transaction, it's over. No refunds, no recalls, no do-overs. I would be very surprised if you get that back unless Tilt comes back online.
And why would you be making a deposit on Tilt at that point, was becoming pretty obvious that something was rotten by then.
  • That's not what I was given to understand by the company I'm dealing with. They specifically said they'd process the refund, it would just take a long time.

Below is from the Vanilla Mastercards cardholder agreement. As I understand it all such cards here in Canada have similar statements. Don't think you are getting anything back unless Tilt sends it to you. Sorry.

    ****************************************************
    PURCHASE DISPUTES AND REFUNDS
If there is any dispute in regard to purchases you make using the Card, you agree to settle such disputes with the merchant from whom the purchase was made. We are not responsible for any problems that you may have with any goods or services that you purchase with your Card, whether with regard to quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of your purchase. If you are entitled to a refund for any reason for goods or services obtained with the Card, you agree to accept credits to the Balance on your Card in place of cash.

  • It's not a Vanilla card, it's a loadable prepaid card from a cheque cashing place.

In other news, I'm getting tired of your personal animosity. I haven't done anything to you, so could you kindly knock it off.

lol, personal animosity?? You clearly have a chip on your shoulder so may have a tough time fitting in here. I have been trying to help you. This is not a forum of tough internet kids you know... I'll buy you a beer at the first forum event you make it out to that I am at, hows that?

    yo?!
  • It's actually an Opus card issued by Cash Money. I'm not sure who operates it, but it's managed by an outfit called Direct Cash out of Calgary. Unlike the Vanilla card, it can be reloaded and reused an infinite number of times. Money Mart also offers a similar card, the People's Trust MasterCard.

These reloadable prepaid cards are NOT recommended for general use. They usually cost about $25 to register for, and then $2 every time you add money to them, and then $7.50 a month in fees, and then 50 cents per transaction. But they can definitely be used for poker deposits with no issues whatsoever.

To verify what I'm telling you, google Money Mart or Cash Money, because these cards are advertised right on the home page of both sites.

The only person who appears to object to my presence here is you. And, as owner of the site, you can do something about it, but you'll have to take responsibility for your own choices instead of me being tricked into making them for you.

I assure you he is not alone. And the only things comp owns around here are the age record and his own ban hammer.

  • and dude you need to reread what Comp was saying. if after that you still think he had some animosity for you or that he wasn't trying to help you out I suggest you inquire with your doc about the the issuance of some meds to help bring you back to reality.

I don't know any of your other posts outside of this thread but you are flat wrong in this one. read up and if you still have an issue with Comp, grow up.

trust me I've been called out in this forum enough to know that the crazy regs here are good people. Stick around and learn from some honest very cool people.
