won a huge pot at 1/2
Play live at my local casino. Sat down at a 1/2 table. With 240 infront of me. In afew hands I was down about 25 bucks when I picked up AQ of diamonds in the hi-jack seat. 5 limpers come in ahead of me. I open the pot to 10 bucks. Btn folds aswell as both the blinds but all 5 limpers call.
The flop comes. Qc Jc 6s. Seat one checks. Seat 2 opens to 10. Seat 3 calls. Seat 4 re-raises 45. Seat 5 fold. To me now. Top-Top at a pretty loose playing table. I should be good right now if I can fade the flush and straights but i only want one caller right.? So after some thought I decide to thin the field and shove all in. I have everyone cover so I figure I'm going heads up.
Seat one thinks for about 30secs and put his 140+ in. Seat 2 doesn't even think and puts in under 110. Seat 3 slaps down about 145. And seat 4 annouces that he has pot odds to call and puts in 150. Jeeeeeeze. I'm either ahead for now or miles behind. I show the younger asian guy on my left(who has about $1400+infront of him.) my hand and he tells me " I know ur ahead right now but u gotta fade some outs on the next 2 street."
So after about 5mins of sweating and wondering why I shoved with just toppair. The dealer figured out the main and 3 side pots. I got about 75 back. The turn came a 2h. And the river a 8h.
I flip over my top-top. And see seat one fold his busted k10 straight. Seat 2 folds his 9 high flush draw. Seat 3 folds his 10 high flush. And seat 4 shows KQ. I took down around 900+ in the one hand. Biggest hand I've won todate. Felt pretty good to get lucky like that. >:D

Not sure about your math. If you only have $25 in front of you and there are 5 limpers that all call to the end, the most you can win is 6x$25 plus $3 for the blinds, or $153 total.
Oh, well, nice pot !!
Don't worry..
I thought the same thing at first.
Mark
still, enjoy your $$$ while you can . . .
So you showed 1st and the others showed their losing hands?
And you cannot discuss your hand with another player.
In Vancouver..I probably shove here too. But I open much bigger as well to thin it early.
Well it was 3 bet or fold. I had to find out where I was at.
Everyone had agreed to open there hands in the end.
Andi didn't show that guy my hand and talk to him until all thechips got in the middle so there's no reason why we can't talk about the hand
This was the edge water in dt vancouver. And like I say, the guy beside me had 1400+ infront of him so he had been takin everyones chips before I sat down.
And the min u can buyin at 1/2 in van is 60 max is 300.
And yes I should have opened for 25 or up to thin the field pre flop
lmao. What a bunch of idiots.
I'm not really sure 3bet shoving to find out where you're at is a valid strategy ^^' That's kind of like jumping into the water to find out if there are sharks around
Ahh, I thought they bumped up the min and max there.
