  • If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't believe it. flash05 won his second HPT, defeating a field of 32. At the 1500/3000 level, Pete pushed in his last 3500 chips with 6-9. After he was called by two players, he proceeded to river a straight to get him started on the suckout comeback.

Until they got down to four players, it was tough to eliminate anybody. Every all-in was won by the short stack whether he went in with the best hand or not. One they got down to four, Hellmuth's Mole was quickly dispatched to the sidelines. The first hand at three players was amazing. SeekTheGrail who was nursing the short stack pushed all-in. Pete then moved all-in behind him. David F. who was the chip leader, quickly pushed all-in as well. Steve showed K5, Pete showed QQ and David flipped over his KK. Of course the window card was a Queen and Pete then had a huge chip lead. Five hands later Pete pushed and David called. Pete's KQ was behind David's A4 but he hit on the flop again and hung on for the win.

Again we had no new Forum members playing, but there were 5 or 6 first timers here. The cash game filled quickly and the table was full all night long. Thanks to asxn557 for looking after the cash game all night long.

There were a lot less cancellations then normal and because of it, there were 5 people who able to sign up on Saturday morning. Attendance was down, as there were a whole bunch of regulars who were away.

The next tournament on the HPT will be held on Saturday July 9th. Please do not sign up for this until you are sure that you are coming. hope to see you then.

  • Another great day Dave. Congrats to Pete.

Kal and I started the cash table about 4:30pm after busting out early. Played some .25/.25 PLO with Brent (he was multi-tabling) until a few more players were added. Then we played orbits of PLO followed by orbits of NLHE .25/.50 as more people joined us. Once Matthew sat down, we were seven players and the straddling began. A few more made it a full table and we switched to NLHE only. By about 9pm, all the pink .25 chips were on the table, but the rounds and pots quickly became dollar pots, so the game was changed to $1/$1 no straddles. Those pink chips were apparently getting in the way.

Biggest pot of the night probably went to Bradley when he went all-in with $114 into a 4-way pot on a flop of Q94, 2 clubs. I call with KK only to lose to set of 4's. Took it down for over $300.

Good game ladies and gents. See you all next time.

    Tom
