My WSOP Adventure
I heading to LV next week to play in a $1500.00 NLH on the 11th.
Is there anyone else from the forum there that week?
I will be posting my results here as I will be playing as many tournaments I can from the 9th to the 14th.

The good news is I am heading back for the main event as I have won a seat. Heading back July 8th and will be playing in day 1C.
i fly out on July 8th as well. Playing 1C as well. Where are you staying?
Very nicely done! What satellite did you win? Wonder if any of the LA area casinos will be hosting ME live satellites?
Won a local tournament series with a bunch of friends
I hope you had a good time despite the way your tourney ended Literation!
The KK / AA thing ends many people's tournies. In the Ladies Event I was getting short and ended up all in pre-flop with KK with the 2 people on either side of me. On my right was another pair of Kings and on my left AA....I was dead to 4 hearts but they didn't come.
Really wierd dynamic today as the seat to my left is a massive chip leader with 124K or so. Looks two others at my table has above starting stack but just barley. I am second lowest at my table but most of us are hurting.
Spent the day yesterday being a tourist in Vegas. Hit about 5 casinos for the day and played a little bit of hit and run poker. Up about 540 for the day. Since there are so many poker rooms to play in the strategy is simple. Play low limit like 1/3 NLHE once you are up $100 or so move on. Buy in low for $200.00 so people will pay you off when you have the nuts! only had one minor loss in the 5 poker rooms i was in all day and left there because of grumpy old men and nits...Binions!(what a shit hole that casino is)
The 2011 WSOP Main Event attracted its third-largest field ever, with 6,865 participants. As a result, the prize pool for the 2011 Main Event alone stands at $64,531,000 million, with the winner’s share amounting to $8,711,956.
After being moved to the Amazon room and only having 12K left with blinds 400/800-100. Everyone at the table had at least 30K. I called a flop in position with AJ suited after the villain to my right opened for 2250. The flop was Axx and he C bet to 4200. I didn't like it but I figured by chances were 50/50 so I pushed. After a minute or two he called with AQ, it was not a slow roll but he had around 50K so I don't know what he was waiting for.
A word of advice for all of you that want to play the WSOP in the future if you don't have it in you to 4 or 5 bet with J5 off in position or in the BB don't go as your wasting your money. I had to do the 4 or 5 times just to keep my stack above 10K.
All in all it was a pretty frustrating experience to go all the way to the WSOP in Vegas an be card dead for 2 days when I am really good at doing this at my local casino!
The next day, Tuesday Ted, Steve, Greg and I played the 1pm Aria tournament for $230.00.
I managed a small cash in this one after being the chip leader with 19 left.
Good to be home!
