    kk not the only one..
  • Yeah, calling the 3bet would be pretty automatic for me too here without more info on villain. I think villain is interesting to, in my experience no one ever tells the truth about hands in the chat lol. I feel like villain has no reason to say he had aces if he did but not much of a reason to say he had it if he didn't either
  • I think the reason for saying he had it is because he played it exactly like he had Aces to less knowledgeable players. Minreraising twice to make it look like your super strong. Not saying he didint have AA, but this would be a reason for saying it. Now next time when he min 3 or 4bets people will remember this hand and think hes super strong
  • yeah, that makes sense since he definitely did not think we had kk when he was 5 betting to that amount, which is just another one of his inconsitencies that makes it intresting lol

in order for that to be true, he had to know that i knew that he knew that i knew that since i raised his last two buttons, i stalled the 3rd time, folded, and raised the next hand so that i could then bluff 4bet over his 3bet bluff and then he could min raise 5 bet bluff be either folding me out pre or getting me to fold my junk with a cbet.

he was such a nice guy i felt like he didn't want to do the commiting he was letting me hang myself with kk vs aa...i felt like he felt bad
  • not completely true, he could be investing chips now for the future. His 5 bet could be a statement that he isnt going to just fold to reraises pre and your gonna have to realy work to get chips off him, if you jam he could be fine with folding now knowing that the table saw him do that and when he gets a hand he will get action. Also players will be more hesitant to 3 and 4bet him because they know he is willing to throw out the 5 bet with a hand hes not willing to shove with. Its a fine line. Now I cant tell you if thats the case here, just would be a reason for doing it. Gotta go outside of your own mindset to find all possible solutions for why is he doing what he is doing, thats why I like the call of the 3 bet more as your more likely to see how he is going to react on the flop, or turn if you make it there. Hard to make it to turn with a 5 bet preflop with these stacks.

Not saying this to be true for this guy, but thats what the pros will do more so live then online but they talk to you and get info out of you that you dont realise that your giving them, they appear to be the nice guy so your thoughts go exactly where yours went. Again not saying this is true about this guy, just a possible outcome.
FYI- never talk to the pros at a poker table unless your talking about their life lol
  • also about four b bluffing is it really that worse than set minning oop if we think theres much fold equity....

im seven to one on a set mine, and not convinced hell stack off....

perhaps but were sitting with a bunch of donkeys i think it would be a waste of chips here....

but yes i never thought of that and i will keep it in mind and try and look for these un obv reason for villain actions....

the tables i played at in edmonton were describing their thought processes after each hand...>:D
  • so much to comment on that i couldn't write while playing.

Can I really call a 3bet oop? Why can I do that with 35bbs in tourney but i can't do that with 100 bbs in a cash game with JJ?

I also do believe he had aces now because of how vekked described the ev on both sides. I think he liked the hand and I now remember that he wished me luck later when I busted out. I know hes one of the best but I think beause I'm random he has to give the four bet respect. I had def been raising enough to warrant a light 3bet. I didn't think I could flat...i guess my i thought is if i can't flat then four betting is more profitable than folding. i was planning to fold to a shove but then min 5 bet became a mandatory call. I think I played my hand face up by the time i folded...
