Stars 180 player turbo

Structures have all been changed - there goes my bread and butter, lets-fire-up-a-few-quick-tourneys-to-kill-a-couple-of-hours tourney.

Yeah, blind structure has been completely revamped.

    Old Structure
    10/20
    15/30
    25/50
    50/100
    75/150
    100/200
    125/250/25
    150/300/25
    200/400/50
    300/600/50
    400/800/75
    500/1000/100

Level 12 is 500/1000/100 - also when most of the time the bubble is

    New Structure
    10/20
    15/30
    20/40
    25/50
    30/60/5
    40/80/10
    50/100/10
    60/120/15
    75/150/20
    100/200/25
    125/250/30
    150/300/40

End of level 12 - takes another 6 levels to get to where the older structure would be at level 12

Yes - there is the whole argument about now less variance, but there's a reason why someone plays turbo > regular tourney
  • They've made some tweaks, looks like the new structure will be 3 minutes levels as oppose to 5 minutes. Smoother transition as blinds escalate, and speed of game should be able to the same. Think Stars is still working out some tweaks as they push this forward. Might not be the end of the 180 just yet.
  • ohhhhhhhhhh yaaaaaaaa baby!

The structure changes have arrived and they lowered the rake:o.

Pretty much like full tilt structure now on regular stt's, I must play on stars again and give er a try.:)
  • antes come in the 5th level...? omg, omg, omg!
  • For the games I play the rake has been lowered or the same anyway. Alot of complaints from what I am reading for the higher levels or something, but I don't see what the problem is for micro-low stakes.
  • Another change to different level of buy-ins that I noticed today

yup, liked last week's better, still doing o.k. in terms of the games I play but it does affect the endgame a lil more.
  • I like the new buy-ins more. Less scattered so games get started a little faster. Instead of having 5 different buyin from $5-$35, now it's 3 (which is closer inline with pre-change)
