Kill game question
Hello all
We just started running kill games at the Great Blue Heron Casino and during a discussion the question of where and when did kill games start. Also why did they call it a kill game? I know the answer I first came up with is that one person was winning every pot and the rest of the player wanted to kill him. I have searched the web and have not come up with anything. If anyone has an answer to this question or would like to start a debate on this it could be interesting.
I may be able to find a comp dinner at the casino for the right answer to this one.
Happy hunting

Fixed limit variation. Interesting read.
I have looked at Wikipedia. It give a good description of the game and how to play but does not answer the question of when, where and how the name came about.
Hey hey now.....don't be coming to our website and expect us to actually read your question....that's crazy talk. If there's one thing we here don't contenance it's crazy talk. If you don't like it you can find yourself a forum where things make your fancy "sense" and where people use "reason*" (pardon my french)
*spits
When the kill is on, lets say in a 10/20 game and its a 1/2 kill, there happens to be a guy that goes all in on the turn and the main pot is over 400, on the river there is a side pot of 60. I only win the measly side pot (30 of which is my own money) and I lose the main to the guy that went all in. I dont think the kill should stay on for the next hand. According to your rules since I won a 'portion' of that pot, the kill stays on me. I just lost a lot of money in that pot, and now youre making me post a kill again.
I know that the majority of players agree with me on this, so if you're looking for feedback, this one is pretty important I think.
thank you
