Value with the nuts?

this is in the 340 at the Western Classic..

Hero is start stack about 45k
Villian starts with about 70k
Blinds are 1k/2k ante 200

hero is in the bb with 7d8d

Villian raises to 6k from mp, folds to hero.

history: table is ridiculously tight, villian raised earlier with qq to 8bbs (seemed to be a standard for her), and folded to an over on the board...watched her play for several days and basically is a nut peddler.

With her lowering her standard raise, and knowing she is a nut peddler, I presume she is AA or KK here..

I complete the raise for 4k. pot is about 14k pre

flop 10d 9d 6d....bullseye!!

Check to the villian after pondering my good fortune..

Villian bets out 7k...I flat after thinking for a minute or so

Turn is a brick, black 4

Villian looks hesitant, seems like she wants to slow down..but bets out 17k.

This is where I am not sure where to go...

My stack is 16k after I call the 17, so she is obviously committing me..I fear that if a diamond comes on the river, she shuts completely down..
If I put it all in now, she is calling with the Ad or Kd for sure, and really, with the pot size, she has to call regardless without a diamond?? pot is about 62k now..and near 80k with my 16...

Where is the best value? flatting and shoving? or getting it in now while she thinks she still has a chance to draw out if need be?

  • I try to get it in on the turn, if she's drawing, she will have to call....if she doesn't have much for holdings, probably shutting down on river regardless.

Maybe throw in a 'gamble, gamble, can't miss everytime' as you shove....angling is allowed at Yellowhead.
  • Preflop - this is a clear fold. You're not deep enough to be making these calls oop without the initiative. There is merit to 3 bet shoving this hand pre...calling is your worse option by far.

Flop - It depends on your opponent. Against better players I would probably check-jam. Against the opponent you described...calling is probably best.

Turn - You could consider donk bet small...and call a shove on the turn... or donk bet turn...shove river. When you check..and she bets...it's an easy shove.

Yeah, I was just really unsure of how to get all of my money in and have her call. I really thought she would have to be committed at the turn shove, but yet she folded..

The bolded likely would have worked best in hindsight...just too scared of her folding to bet I guess.
