Stu Ungar movie...starring Michael Imperioli
i remembered hearing last year about a movie being made about Stu Ungar's life, and for some reason it struck me today to look it up! lol
The movie is in fact finished and has screened at a couple of festivals, although it will be a direct to video release on March 15. It stars Michael Imperioli as "The Kid" himself, and from all the promo clips it looks pretty good. For anyone familiar with Ungar (greatest player of all-time in my opinion) this looks like a pretty solid film, although it does not appear to be too heavy on the poker, which is probably better, as Ungar was truly a fascinating character.
